Looking for the NVIDIA L40S? Rent the RTX 6000 Ada. Same 48 GB, Same Generation
We don't offer the NVIDIA L40S directly, but the RTX 6000 Ada Generation gives you the same 48 GB GDDR6 VRAM, same Ada architecture and even more CUDA cores. For most AI inference, fine-tuning, and rendering workloads it's a direct equivalent at a competitive price.
Why the RTX 6000 Ada is a Strong L40S Alternative
Same 48 GB GDDR6 VRAM
Identical VRAM capacity to the L40S.run 70B LLMs quantized, full Stable Diffusion XL pipelines, large 3D scenes.
Same Ada Architecture
Both GPUs are built on NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace architecture (AD102).same generation, same feature set.
More CUDA Cores
18,176 CUDA cores on the RTX 6000 Ada vs. 18,176 on the L40S.identical compute fabric.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't you offer the L40S directly?+
The RTX 6000 Ada Generation and the L40S are essentially the same silicon (AD102) with the same 48 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. We chose the RTX 6000 Ada because we can offer it at a much better price-performance ratio while delivering equivalent results for AI inference, fine-tuning and rendering workloads.
Is the RTX 6000 Ada really equivalent to the L40S?+
For nearly all real-world workloads, yes. Both have 48 GB GDDR6 ECC, identical CUDA core count, identical Tensor and RT cores, same Ada Lovelace architecture. The L40S is tuned slightly higher for sustained datacenter loads (350W vs 300W), and the RTX 6000 Ada actually has slightly higher memory bandwidth (960 vs 864 GB/s). For inference, fine-tuning, Stable Diffusion and 3D rendering, performance is within a few percent.
Can I run a 70B-parameter LLM on it?+
Yes. At 4-bit quantization, a 70B-parameter LLM fits comfortably in 48 GB of VRAM. For unquantized inference of 70B models, scale to 2x RTX 6000 Ada.
Does it support FP8?+
Yes. The RTX 6000 Ada has 4th-generation Tensor cores with full FP8 support, just like the L40S. Frameworks like vLLM with FP8 KV cache work identically.
Can I use it for Blender / 3D rendering?+
Absolutely.3rd-gen RT cores and full OptiX support deliver excellent performance for Blender Cycles, Octane, V-Ray and Unreal Engine.
What's the catch?+
There isn't one for most users. The L40S has a passive datacenter cooler designed for dense rack deployment; the RTX 6000 Ada has an active blower-style cooler. Both are dedicated to your instance, no sharing, full 48 GB VRAM, full compute.
